Pet Photography Tips

TIPS ON TAKING PHOTOS Of YOUR PET(S)

1)  Please take a couple of good close-up shots of your pet.

Try to be close enough to capture its expression.

This is very important in a  portrait.

2)  Try taking a photo at the same eye level as your pet, not an above-the-head shot...

a nice direct  centered picture.  Use high resolution (best quality picture) on your camera,         if possible.

3)  Keep the background simple and concentrate on your subject.

4)  Try for indirect lighting which is the most flattering.  Bright sunlight can wash out

the color and cast harsh shadows on your pet.

5)  If you can't keep your pet's attention, have someone hold him or use treats to keep

     him interested.

6)  If you want a portrait with two or more pets, try for one or two photos with

them together for  size comparison.   Other pictures can be separate, but

must be taken at same level.

7) The photos should be taken at a high resolution. If you are taking photos with your cell

phone, please change the settings to the highest resolution.

8)  Take several photos of your pet so we can select the best one and for color comparison

9) Patience is a must when taking photos.
